When not using the magnet, keep it in a clean and dry place.
Store the magnet on a horizontal, smooth and flat surface. Avoid placing objects on top of it.
Do not stack magnets with magnetic sides facing each other.
Preparing Magnetic- Receptive Surfaces
Make sure that the surface paints, clear coats and waxes on the metal surface are properly cured (normal curing time: car paint - 90 days, clear coat - 60 days, wax - 2 days.
After waxing and polishing, allow 2 days to cure before applying magnets.
Clean the metal surface and the magnet with mild detergent. Allow them to air-dry or wipe with a soft cloth.
Applying Your Car Magnet
Make sure both the magnet and the metal surface are dry before applying the magnet.
If possible, affix to smooth, flat or gently curved metallic surfaces.
Make sure the entire magnet is flat against the metal surface (i.e. no air pockets).
If you place the magnet in the wrong position, always completely remove the magnet from the surface by pulling it off the metal surface and reaffix. Do not pull the magnet across the surface, or it may stretch due to the resistance caused by the high magnetic strength and/or damage the surface.
Avoid use on horizontal metal surfaces exposed to direct sunlight (such as automobile hoods). End-use temperature range: -26° C to 55° C (-15° F to 130° F). Short term resistance: 66° C (150° F). Avoid use at temperatures outside end-use temperature range. Exposure to cold weather will make the magnet more brittle so use caution when handling.
Be aware that long-term use on surfaces frequently exposed to sunlight (such as vehicles) can result in uneven fading of the surface.
Avoid use on non-metalic body filers, simulated wood grain siding and repainted surfaces.
Cleaning Your Car Magnet
To guard against moisture and dirt buildup between the magnet and the metal surface (particularly on outdoor applications), remove the magnet at regular intervals. Clean both the magnet and metal surface with mild detergent; wipe with a soft cloth or allow to air-dry (For vehicle-mounted signs remove and clean DAILY).
After waxing and polishing, allow 2 days for wax to cure before applying magnets.
Keeping the Magnet clean and Dry
Remove the magnet during car washing. Make sure the magnet and the metal surface are clean and dry before reapplying.
Avoid water such as rainwater, car wash water and dew water being trapped between the magnet and the metal surface. In case water is trapped remove the magnet as soon as possble. Clean and dry the magnet and the metal surface before reapplying.
Caution
Applying the magnet to a painted vehicle surface without following the above instructions may result in damage to the magnet and the metal surface. The supplier will not be held liable for any damage caused by abuse, misuse or failure to follow these instructions.
